Who we are
This vote is operated by SEI LLC, 1712 Pioneer Avenue, Suite 1810, Cheyenne, WY 82001, United States. You can reach us at contact@seicomesei.com.
What we collect
- Your votes, and the optional "why" text you add to a request.
- Your email, if you give it. We send it to Kit, our email provider, and this site keeps only a scrambled version of it. Kit also stores which geniuses you voted for, as tags, so we can tell you about their talk if they give one.
- A cookie (__Host-sv_vid) that remembers this browser's votes.
- A scrambled version of your IP address, made with a key that is thrown away every day. It is deleted after 30 days.
- Your network operator and country.
- The link you came from, for example the newsletter.
- An Instagram DM contact id, when you arrive from a link in an Instagram DM.
Why we collect it
- To count votes fairly.
- To prevent fraud.
- To send you the Genius Filter, if you asked for it.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts this site and protects it from bots with Turnstile (see the Turnstile privacy addendum). Kit sends our emails. Both may process your data in the United States.
How long we keep it
- Scrambled IP addresses are deleted after 30 days, and the key that scrambles them is thrown away every day.
- Scrambled network data in our security logs is deleted after 30 days.
- Your email address stays on this site only until it reaches Kit. If sending it to Kit fails, we keep it for at most 30 days to retry. Then this site keeps only the scrambled version, and Kit keeps your address while you are subscribed to the Genius Filter.
- We keep the first consent you gave (the time, the version of the consent wording and where you gave it) as proof of your consent.
- The __Host-sv_vid cookie lasts up to 400 days.
- Votes, requests and the other details above are kept while SEI uses them to count votes and decide who to invite.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in every email, or write to contact@seicomesei.com.
Cookies
- __Host-sv_vid: remembers this browser's votes so each genius gets one vote per person per day. It lasts up to 400 days.
